Stuck on Earth – New app for dreamers, adventurers and photographers

Simply beautiful new app courtesy of Trey Ratcliff. Its free right now so if you like beautiful images or are an armchair traveler, or both, you best grab this now. Check out the StuckOnEarth website for more info about the app and links to download the app.

One of the (many, many, many) things I love about this app is that it can be personalized albeit only in a limited number of ways, but still – this hints at the future of personalized computing and applications.

One thing to be aware of, on my Mac I had to override my default preference under Security and Privacy which is set to “Mac App Store and identified developers”. To do this, after downloading the app, just locate the app in your applications folder (use finder) and then control click to select and then click open. The app will open in a popup window and from that point on you can just open in the regular way. I suspect this will only be an issue if you use the direct download option from Trey’s Google Plus post. Once it’s in the Apple Store it won’t be an issue.

Check out Trey’s awesome website too.

Enjoy the eye candy!
